SUCCESS STORIES

I have worked for Zupps for 12 years. I started as a car washer & worked my way up. I was then introduced to service advising boy oh boy I thought; what am I in for. I have certainly learnt a lot and conquered a lot of things in these years in service, going to Japan with Mitsubishi Australia & being the number 1 service Advisor in Australia for Mitsubishi. Customer service is a very important role & I believe if you give a customer good service then they are going to come back, you have a customer for life. Being a service advisor you certainly have to know a lot . I do ask a lot of questions if I am unsure of something & I believe this is how I have learnt so much by asking so many questions. I love my job and I love the people I work with, being a service advisor is a lot of fun & we have a lot of laughs!

I was fortunate enough to become a school based apprentice with Zupps Mt Gravatt Mitsubishi in 2001 ,  I progressed though my apprenticeship and was given the opportunity to learn the front house of business becoming a Service Advisor and then promoted to Assistant Service Manager.

The opportunity came to learn about the commercial transport industry where I moved to Daimler Trucks Brisbane and became the Business Development Manager for our service departments in Rocklea, Eaglefarm and Caboolture. Just recently I have been given the opportunity to move into a Sales Consultant role at DTB rocklea for our Fuso Sales dept where I have gained my Automotive sales licence.  The growth and knowledge I have gained with my time in the service department has been enormous and the ability to grow my career with AHG has no boundaries.

I started working here as a first year apprentice in August 2000 when I was employed here I was not sure what I wanted to do as a career but I new that getting an apprenticeship would put me in good stead with the rest of my working life.

After I finished my apprenticeship my immediate manager came to me with an opportunity to be a workshop controller that involved me looking after around 30 staff, I enjoyed that role and the challenges it brought.  After doing that role for 2 years I was offered a position as a service advisor that involved me dealing directly with customers and ensuring they had a great experience. After working in that position for 3 years I was offered a Assistant service manager position at Zupps Subaru & Kia Mt Gravatt. This was a senior role within the company and I was honoured to take this on even though I was only 25 years of age.  After 11 months of that role my manager had to leave unexpectedly and I was offered the role as a service manager. The dealer principle at the time as well as the fixed operations manager for AHG spoke to me about the expectations of this role and how they would help me in moving forward into this new position. After three years of successfully managing this dealership I was given the opportunity to take on one of the biggest dealerships in the AHG QLD operations, Zupps Holden & Suzuki Mt Gravatt.  I am still working here today and enjoy the challenges that coming to work everyday bring and the support that working with a company like AHG bring.
