Perth’s premier charity golf event has raised a record $130,000 to help West Australians who are deafblind.
The 13th Annual Senses Foundation Golf Day, with major sponsor AHG, saw 140 members of Perth’s business community take to the green at Royal Perth Golf Course on Friday April 27, for a day of sporting fun, fantastic prizes and a worthy cause.
Congratulations to the winning team Courier Australia, followed by the Hardie Financial Corporation team and the Commonwealth Bank team who fi nished a close third.
Senses Foundation CEO, Debbie Karasinski said the money raised from the event and gala dinner auction would be used within the Foundation’s Specialist Communication Program, a service highly valued by clients and their families.
“Deafblindness has been described as one of the loneliest and most isolating disabilities, so the development of a means of communication is the key to a good quality of life,” she said.
AHG CEO, Bronte Howson said AHG had been the major sponsor of the event for 10 years and thanked the volunteers and participants who made the day such a great success.
“The Senses Foundation is a great local charity that makes an enormous difference to the lives of many West Australians and AHG is proud to be associated with it.”
